Kotzschmar Kause! Save the Date!

April 2, 2010

Friend’s Corner, Gorham — August 10, 2010 —5:30-8:30 pm

At the second annual Kotzschmar Kause, you can enjoy fellowship, scrumptious food and fabulous silent and live auction items up for bid. The auction supports the following educational and scholarship opportunities for students in the state of Maine:

  • Kotzschmar 4 Kids teaches fourth, fifth and sixth grade students the workings of the pipe organ through an integrated curriculum encompassing math, science, music, social studies and history. The program features the portable demonstration organ known as Kotzschmar Jr. which has exposed pipes and transparent panels so that students can see the inner workings and experience directly how sound is produced.
  • Meet the King of Instruments, a school performance at Merrill Auditorium, brings classes of students to hear the mighty sounds of the Kotzschmar Organ.
  • Kids, Kartoons & Kotzschmar, annual family concert
  • Organ Tours and Demonstrations feature our municipal organist, Ray Cornils, area organists and trained docents, leading children and adults through an inside view of the Kotzschmar.
