It is with both a sense of sadness and gratitude that I announce the departure of Brooke Hubner as Executive Director of Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ (FOKO).

Brooke has played an important role in our organization, and we will miss her presence in our small office. Her steady work with our financial information brought transparency to our books and made our work as board members much easier. She also spearheaded the move to our new office location, and we are forever grateful for all that was put into that herculean effort. Additionally, Brooke led our recent Marketing Review process which resulted in the hiring of a local marketing firm to help update FOKO’s image and marketing plan. I know I speak for the entire Board of Directors, and all of our committees, when I share how much we appreciate Brooke’s leadership these last two and a half years.

As we search for a new Executive Director, two FOKO Board Members, Elsa Geskus and David Kirstein, will manage Brooke’s day-to-day responsibilities, along with continued help from Office Administrative Assistant Kue John Lor. Elsa and David will be doing this work on an interim basis, and I know the entire Board joins me in thanking them for this effort. It is our hope to have someone settled into the Executive Director position by March of this year.

Brooke’s last day is Friday, January 11. Please join us in thanking Brooke for her leadership and wishing her much success in her next chapter. If you have any questions regarding this transition, please feel free to reach out to me

We hope to see you at our next event, our Bach Birthday Bash, on Wednesday, March 20th at 7:30PM.

FOKO Board President
