BOGO at Sur Lie this Wednesday

  A night out in Portland with tapas and jazz, did we just plan your next date night? On Wednesday, September 26, we will be hosting the Jean-Willy Kunz Jazz Quintet at the Merrill Auditorium from 7:30- 9 p.m. One of the many highlights of this evening is that we’ve partnered with Sur Lie to offer a special on dinner before the show. By showing your ticket stub at Sur Lie and purchasing one of their tasty tapas you will receive one of equal value. *One per table* Sur Lie is located at 11 Free St, Portland, ME.

Photos: From Calliopes to Kotzschmar: A Musical Stroll with Victoria Mansion

We joined the Victoria Mansion in a special event where we showcased three organs. Opus 73, built by David Wallace & Co, LLC Pipe Organs, was positioned in the foyer of the lobby and played by FOKO docent Paul Schnell. This organ is similar to our Kotzschmar Jr, but was built for regular performance use. Kotzsch-in-a-box was outside the mansion on this beautiful evening. The last organ, a 1909 Hope-Jones Organ was down the street in the home of Peter and Pam Plumb. Peter played for guests as they stopped by during the event.
